Hi,

I have problem viewing the exported .obj file in other softwares. I have clicked compute before editing and then saving as _.obj. The problem is that I can't view the .obj in any software that imports this format.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Ahmed

Hi Ahmed,
Welcome to the forum. I can`t tell why you can't import your .OBJ files!
Maybe this thread can help: http://k3dsurf.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=182&highlight=obj

Dear Taha,

Thanks for your feedback. I followed the thread and read the contents, but still I can't view the .obj file in solidworks or any other CAD software.

Here are steps I followed in saving the .obj file.
Isosurface:
1 - select one of the examples
2 - compute
3 - edit > save> _.obj

Also I tried this,
Parametric:
1 - select one of the examples
2 - calculate
3 - edit > save> _.obj

Both did not work!

As i have read in the threads, I should be able to view in any CAD packages. but when I import the .obj file it say " the following file names entered were invalid, not found, locked or of an incompatible type:"

Is there another way of doing it.

Regards,
Ahmed
