Hi all,
Chmutov surfaces (Chmutov 1992) have more ordinary double points than any other known equations of the same degree.
Based on Chmutov's equations, Banchoff (1991) defined a simpler set of surfaces that was used to compute
the three surfaces illustrated in MathMod, for orders 2, 4, and 6:
